Privacy policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This policy covers the MyShiftDays website (myshiftdays.com) and the MyShiftDays Android app.
The short version
- There are no accounts, and we don't ask for your name or email to use the calendar.
- Your schedules are worked out on your phone or computer and saved there. We never receive them.
- No analytics or tracking, on the website or in the app.
- We don't sell personal information.
On the website
When you set up a schedule, the calendar saves your settings (pattern, crew, a reference date, shift times, workplace time zone and the name you give the schedule) in your browser's local storage, so they're there next time. If you use the pay calculator, all its settings are saved the same way. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time with Delete all my data in a schedule's settings, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. We also remember whether you chose light or dark mode. To make the site work offline, your browser also keeps a copy of the site's pages and files (about 370 KB, downloaded after the first page has loaded; with your browser's Data Saver on, only the pages you visit are kept). The calendar files (.ics) you download are created in your browser; we don't receive a copy.
In the Android app
The app does everything on your phone. It has no accounts, no analytics and no ads.
- Your schedules and settings (pattern, crew, reference date, shift times, schedule names, workplace time zone, all pay calculator settings and reminder choices) are saved in the app's private storage on your phone, along with the widget's copy of your upcoming shifts. We never receive them.
- Android backup. If Android backup is on for your phone, Android copies those saved schedules and settings (and the widget's copy of your upcoming shifts) to your own Google account, so they come back when you set up a new phone. Nothing else from the app is backed up. You can turn this off in your phone's backup settings.
- Reminders. If you turn on shift reminders, the app asks for permission to show notifications. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent to a server. If you choose "Make reminders arrive on time", Android's "Alarms & reminders" permission lets them come exactly on time. You can turn reminders off in the app or in Android's settings at any time.
- Home-screen widget. If you add the widget, it shows your upcoming shifts and the schedule's name on your home screen. It reads them from the app's storage on your phone.
- Calendar files and sharing. When you use "Add to calendar" or Share, the app opens Android's share menu. The calendar file or link goes only to the app or person you choose there.
- Deleting your data. Use Delete all my data in a schedule's settings, or Settings → Apps → MyShiftDays → Storage → Clear storage. Uninstalling the app also deletes it from your phone.
Share links
If you use the Share button, your schedule settings (including the schedule name) are written into the link itself, after a "#", which browsers don't send to the website's server. Anyone you send the link to can see those settings. Links are not stored on our servers. (Older links that used "?" still work; opening one sends it to the web host like any web address.)
Analytics
Neither the website nor the app uses analytics. If we add them to the website, we'll use a privacy-friendly, cookieless service (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that only reports totals such as page views, and we'll update this page first.
Your schedules and pay settings are never sent to analytics.
Hosting
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for details. The app carries its own copy of every page and doesn't contact our servers to show your calendar.
Advertising
Neither the website nor the app currently shows ads. If we add advertising (Google AdSense on the website, Google AdMob in the app), ad partners may collect device identifiers and use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. We will update this policy, and ask for your consent where the law requires it, before any ads go live.
Children
The website and app are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13.
Changes and contact
We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date. Questions? Email hinodestudio.dev@gmail.com.
