Am I working the holidays?

Pick your rotation and one day you work. See right away whether you're on for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, then send it to your family or crew.

Who's working Christmas?

On a rotating schedule the holidays move every year. A Pitman crew that had Christmas off last year may work it this year, and a 24/48 platoon only works one holiday in three. The checker uses the same calendar engine as the rest of MyShiftDays, so its answers match your full calendar and the2027 year calendars.

Questions

How does the checker know if I work Christmas?

Rotating schedules repeat on a fixed cycle. Once you pick your pattern and tell the checker one day you work (and which shift of the rotation it was), it lines the cycle up with the calendar, exactly like the full calendar on this site, and reads off each holiday.

I work nights. Which day does my shift count on?

A shift counts on the day it starts. A Christmas Eve night shift that ends on Christmas morning shows as working Christmas Eve. If no shift starts on Christmas Day, it shows "Home from 7:00 am" (or whenever your shift ends).

What does the share link contain?

Only what is needed to show the same answer: the pattern, the crew, one date, the position in the rotation, any shift times you changed, the season year and the name you typed, if any. It sits after the "#" in the address, so it is never sent to our server.

Does it include shift trades, overtime or holiday rotations?

No. It shows your regular rotation. Some employers rotate holidays separately or give weekday staff the federal holidays off, so check your official schedule before making plans.

For personal planning. Always confirm your official schedule with your employer.
