About MyShiftDays
Millions of nurses, police officers, firefighters, dispatchers, plant operators and other shift workers live by rotating schedules with names like Pitman, DuPont, Panama and Kelly. The patterns are simple to describe but surprisingly hard to turn into a real calendar: Am I working Christmas? How many weekends do I get off this year? Is my partner off on the same days I am?
MyShiftDays answers those questions. Choose your pattern and crew, tell it one date you know, and it works out every shift, forward and back, for any year.
How the calculations work
Every rotation is stored as a simple repeating sequence (for example, DuPont is 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights, 3 off, 4 days, 7 off). The calendar counts whole days from the date you give it, so time zones and daylight saving never shift your schedule. Each pattern is checked by hundreds of automated tests, including that the crews of every round-the-clock pattern cover every shift exactly once. US federal holidays are calculated automatically for every year.
Private by design
There are no accounts. Your schedules are worked out in your browser and saved only on your own device. See the privacy policy for details.
Free, supported by ads
The calendar is free to use. To cover costs, the site may show ads in clearly marked spaces between sections. Ads are never placed inside the calendar tool, and they never appear in printouts or calendar exports.
A note on accuracy
The calendar is built for personal planning. Employers sometimes adjust rotations, trade shifts or change start dates, so always confirm your official schedule with your employer. Spotted a pattern that's wrong or missing? Let us know.
